The realities of unstructured data management revealed

Unstructured data management is more important than ever due to the rise of big data and the competitive urgency felt by organizations to squeeze every scrap of business and IT benefit from every bit and byte of digital content it generates and stores. It is so important, according to a recent worldwide survey of IT leaders by IDC, that data analytics of unstructured data is the third leading data storage-related initiative for enterprises worldwide. The majority of those surveyed have adopted at least one public or private cloud for unstructured data management and storage. For both public and private clouds, data security related to undisclosed vulnerabilities such as Meltdown and Spectre is the leading concern for more than a third of respondents. Unstructured data management and analytics -- including the distribution and synchronization of data across use cases and apps -- is the second leading IT challenge for the public cloud.
