How can Employee Central boost localized COVID-19 compliance?

The SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Localization is one of the systems' core benefits. Now, SAP has released COVID-19 legal changes monitoring.

SAP SuccessFactors has always offered globalized and localized compliance for core HR and payroll users. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SAP has set up a localization task force to monitor what governments are doing globally in real time.

Payroll is critical to the success of any business, and multinational organizations have even more complexity. Organizations that use SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll typically have large workforces, with a myriad of localization needs. As the COVID-19 outbreak grows and disrupts businesses across the globe, new regulations have the potential to disrupt payroll as well.

SAP has created the task force to prevent that disruption and help ensure organizations can follow new localization guidelines.

SAP has released -- and continues to release -- SAP Notes and Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) via the SAP ONE Support Launchpad SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll software.

Notes and KBAs in a blog on its community website, which is updated periodically by its localization team. The team includes more than 150 people who are tracking and managing local compliance laws and regulations across 99 countries. SAP customer companies can use the Announcement of Legal Change feature in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad and filter by the keyword "COVID" to get the latest update to legal changes.

SAP is working with partner Business Software, Inc. (BSI) to ensure compliance with functionality in BSI products for Employee Central Payroll that handle employer tax and Social Security deferments introduced in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

Although the release of SAP SuccessFactors for the first half of 2020 has been delayed from May 15 to June 5, the preview was released on April 10 as planned in order to give HR departments more time to review and test the release while they're experiencing higher-than-normal workloads.
