Promark Technology adds Dell Software to GSA schedule

Dell Software has joined the Ingram Micro Federal Advantage Program and will now sell its products through Promark Technology’s General Services Administration (GSA) schedule. Promark Technology is a U.S. distributor owned by Ingram Micro that provides access to a number of federal and state contract vehicles such as the GSA.

Dell Software products added to the GSA schedule include Dell Windows Management, Information Management, Data Protection, SonicWall, Identity and Access Management and KACE products.

Ingram Micro will support its new Promark Technology/Dell business with a team of sales, marketing and engineering specialists that are dedicated to Dell’s hardware and software lines. Additionally, Ingram Micro and mutual Dell channel partners can access Ingram Micro’s program managers and solutions engineers through the Ingram Micro Solution Center, Configuration Center and Professional Services and Training Academy.

“One of the key things behind the partnership is that we are a fully built-out Dell support center … Now [we] add the ability to have a large public sector team who understands compliance, how to help partners capture Federal government contracts, and how to leverage GSA,” said Anthony Vottima, executive direct of Ingram Micro Vertical Markets. “Now it’s really the combining of what has been an all-star technical team around Dell Software with the resources we have around Federal government, GSA and various other contract-level support.”

An advantage of using Ingram Micro’s team and resources is that it frees up partners to spend more of their own resources on sales-generating opportunities rather than the logistics that go around an order, he said.

Considering trends in the federal marketplace this year, Vottima said investments continue to grow around cybersecurity. “Certainly, they’re investing their money around defense, and we’re also starting to see expansion around their investment in healthcare,” he said. “All of those areas work out extremely well for us.”
