Texas FQHC Selects eClinicalWorks EHR to Optimize Clinical Workflows
The FQHC will be able to leverage a health information search engine as part of its eClinicalWorks EHR implementation to improve clinical workflows.
CommuniCare, a 22-site federally qualified health center (FQHC), has implemented an eClinicalWorks EHR to improve operational and clinical workflows.
CommuniCare selected the EHR to integrate front-office, back-office, and patient-treatment features.
The FQHC will now have access to patient engagement tools that aim to improve patient satisfaction and convenience while streamlining front-office workflows.
Additionally, the organization will be able to leverage eClinicalWorks Scribe, an AI-driven voice-recognition software that makes clinical documentation faster, easier, and more accurate.
“Our previous EHR was not optimized for the cloud and had limited built-in features with subpar performance when compared to eClinicalWorks,” Paul Nguyen, president and CEO of CommuniCare, explained in a public statement. “We had to rely on third-party programs to accomplish simple tasks.”
“We switched to eClinicalWorks because of their user-friendly and intuitive software,” Nguyen continued. “The seamless and customizable integrations allow our providers to help patients achieve their best potential outcomes. Additionally, eClinicalWorks enables front and back-office staff to streamline workflows for a more efficient and engaging patient experience.”
Communicare will also have access to PRISMA, the industry’s first health information search engine that seamlessly gathers patient records from hospitals, primary care providers, specialists, and urgent care centers.
“The best health IT solutions provide tools and technology for the ultimate patient experience,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “That’s what we’re doing with CommuniCare.”
“By providing an EHR that integrates with patient engagement features, coding, billing, and more, CommuniCare’s providers and staff can worry less about their IT solutions and focus more on providing value-based care to those who need it most in south-central Texas,” Navani added.
Additional care organizations have gone live on the eClinicalWorks EHR in recent months, including Midwest Orthopaedic Center in Illinois.
“We wanted the best cloud EHR solution and revenue cycle services to manage and streamline our day-to-day workflow,” Derek Armstrong, CEO of Midwest Orthopaedic Center, said in the press release at the time of the announcement.
“Our goal was to remove multiple legacy software vendors and increase efficiency while reducing administrative burnout and costs for back-office staff,” he continued. “eClinicalWorks’ technology meets that need perfectly.”
