FQHC Taps eClinicalWorks EHR to Drive Patient Engagement

The eClinicalWorks EHR implementation grants the FQHC access to a suite of patient engagement tools, including a contactless check-in solution.

Midland Community Healthcare Services (MCHS), a federally qualified health care center (FQHC) in Texas, recently implemented an eClinicalWorks EHR to drive interoperability and patient engagement.

The FQHC selected eClinicalWorks’ V12 EHR platform, which offers real-time cloud intelligence and a fully integrated solution for medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health to meet the unique needs of health centers.

“As an FQHC, it is especially important to utilize innovative unified EHR solutions that are geared towards the unique needs of health centers,” said Jon Calder, CIO of Midland Community Healthcare Services.

“Before eClinicalWorks, we used a different EHR system that required us to add on third-party applications,” he noted. “eClinicalWorks is helping us to improve operational efficiency in our day-to-day workflows, which is ultimately enhancing patient outcomes with one unified solution.”

Additionally, MCHS can now access the healow suite of patient engagement tools, which includes:

  • healow CHECK-IN: The contactless solution allows patients to securely check-in for their appointments from a smartphone or computer before an appointment.
  • healow Sign: The tool allows providers to create online forms that patients can complete and sign with the healow App.
  • healow Survey: With instant translation services for 14 different languages, healthcare organizations can easily create digital surveys that meet the needs of patients across multiple populations using this tool.

Wellness Center Implements EHR to Drive Practice Growth

Orange County Migraine & Wellness Center has selected an EHR system from eClinicalWorks to support patient engagement and practice efficiencies.

With over 700 patients and expanding services, the practice sought a solution to support growth, drive efficiency, and foster patient engagement.

“Maintaining personal connections with our patients is an essential component of treating migraines, headaches, and mood disorders,” Molly Rossknecht, DO, a neurologist at Orange County Migraine & Wellness Center, said in a press release. “We needed a seamless system that would meet our organizational needs as a growing practice while prioritizing our patients’ experiences.”

“We were drawn to the capabilities of the patient portal, which will give our patients 24/7 access to their records, lab results, and secure messaging,” Rossknecht added. “This connectivity and transparency are key to maintaining and establishing these relationships with our patients and providing comprehensive holistic care.”

Medical Center Upgrades eCW EHR to Streamline Workflows

Best Medical Care PC is leveraging the eClinicalWorks Cloud to streamline clinical and operational workflows.

The practice offers medical services throughout nine Brooklyn and Queens, New York locations.

The cloud-based EHR upgrade is set to help the medical center enhance patient care, improve efficiency, and optimize front-office staff operations.

“By transitioning to the eClinicalWorks Cloud, we have enhanced our workflows and are providing the best possible care to our patients,” said Kamran Siddiqui, chief operating officer at Best Medical Care.

The health IT system includes customizable templates, ePrescribing capabilities, voice recognition, and integrated billing and reporting tools.

“The Cloud offers limitless computer power, storage, and memory, and we no longer deal with the maintenance and costs of servers,” Siddiqui added. “The advanced capabilities and access to data at the point of care allow us to streamline operations and spend more time focusing on our patients, ultimately improving their health outcomes.”
