EHR Vendor Epic Wins 2024 Best in KLAS Overall Software Suite

The 2024 Best in KLAS report named EHR vendor Epic the top overall software suite, coming in ahead of MEDITECH and Oracle Health.

The 2024 Best in KLAS Software & Services report has recognized EHR vendor Epic as the top overall software suite, marking the fourteenth consecutive year that the company has earned the award.

The 2024 Best in KLAS report leverages information obtained from more than 26,000 evaluations representing the opinions of healthcare professionals from over 5,000 healthcare organizations.

athenahealth earned the Overall Physician Practice Vendor award, which goes to vendors with ambulatory EHR and practice management systems ranked in multiple size groups for independent practices.

The EHR vendor also earned Best in KLAS awards in the following segments: ambulatory EHR: independent (11–75 physicians), practice management: independent (11–75 physicians), and small practice ambulatory EHR/PM: independent (2-10 physicians).

KLAS recognized Impact Advisors as the Overall IT Services Firm winner. Impact Advisors also earned Best in KLAS awards for ERP Implementation Leadership and Financial Improvement Consulting.

The report named Evergreen Healthcare Partners the top Overall Implementation Services Firm, a first-time win for the firm. Evergreen also won Best in KLAS in the HIT Advisory Services and HIT Core Clinical Implementation Leadership segments.

Chartis won the top Overall Healthcare Management Consulting Firm award for the fourth year in a row. The firm also won Best in KLAS awards in clinical optimization and digital transformation consulting.

The report also outlined the most improved software products, service solutions, and physician practice products.

Lightbeam Health Solutions earned the spot for the most improved software product. Customers of Lightbeam Population Health Management reported an 18 percent improvement in satisfaction since the 2023 Best in KLAS report.

Clients say the leading force in product improvement is the vendor’s increased focus on proactive and responsive service. Customers also emphasized Lightbeam’s leadership for scheduling routine meetings to address concerns, review upcoming developments, and gather feedback.

The most improved services solution for 2024 is AGS Health. Client satisfaction with AGS Health’s Extended Business Office Services jumped 14 percent since last year’s Best in KLAS report.

Customers said that AGS Health’s efforts to strengthen client relationships through strong executive engagement helped drive this improvement. Clients also mentioned that AGS Health supports strong partnerships by carefully managing expectations and staying open to customer feedback.

The most improved physician practice product is eClinicalWorks. Satisfaction with eClinicalWorks’ EHR/PM among small, independent practices (2–10 physicians) has improved by 29 percent since last year’s report.

Satisfied customers reported that the release of a new health IT version addressed many customer requests and added helpful functionality. Clients also said that implementation of this upgrade was less difficult than some previous releases.
