Infor CloudSuite offers a modular cloud ERP system

As a flexible cloud ERP system, Infor CloudSuite provides lots of options for its users with how it's deployed in the cloud and how it's configured for organizations' needs.

Infor CloudSuite is Infor's cloud ERP software that is purpose-built for selected industries. Infor deploys CloudSuite primarily as a public cloud, but offers industries with compliance requirements the option of private cloud deployments. Infor CloudSuite's flexibility allows users to get the ERP functionalities their enterprises require, rather than get bogged down by unnecessary features found in often rigid, on-premises ERP systems.

Companies of all sizes and verticals use Infor CloudSuite for their cloud ERP system. Enterprises in the aerospace and defense, automotive, facilities management, fashion, food and beverage, industrial machinery, and retail market spaces find that they can tailor Infor CloudSuite to match their specific needs. Infor CloudSuite expands beyond the base financials, sales, materials and procurement requirements of many conventional ERP systems, serving different functions of the business such as human capital management and corporate branches of a company. Depending on the industry vertical, the Infor CloudSuite may include highly specialized applications such as product lifecycle management, compliance management, customer relationship management or enterprise asset management.

What can clients expect from Infor CloudSuite?

Whether a company elects to run Infor CloudSuite strictly in the cloud or in a hybrid deployment that includes cloud and on-premises systems, the code base is the same. Most clients connect to Infor's cloud ERP system via a web browser such as Safari, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Edge. Depending on the enterprise's industry, there may also be a rich client available for power users. Integration tasks for data can vary depending on each client's business requirements. Infor has several common approaches for data integration, which are designed to keep client data secure as well as provide upgrade-safe options for integration and configuration. Infor CloudSuite will integrate with a customer security assertion markup language 2.0-compliant identity provider, such as Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services, for user authentication.

The latest release of Infor CloudSuite is the 10x platform level, with Xi -- the next platform level -- announced. The functions, features and release schedules for Infor CloudSuite vary based upon the industry or functional implementation of the suite that the client selects. Infor upgrades its various cloud environments based upon a published maintenance schedule that is unique to each industry. When Infor releases new features to its cloud ERP system, clients have the choice as to when they want to adopt them.

Infor partners with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its data center services. This partnership enables Infor to offer around-the-clock services, given the 12 geographic regions and 33 availability zones that AWS operates in.

Infor offers a 99.5% uptime service level agreement for Infor CloudSuite, with an actual historical performance of 99.9996%. Infor CloudSuite undergoes several audits on a regular basis. These include Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Service Organization Control 1, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and Statement on Standards and Attestation Engagements 16. Infor annually tests its business continuity and disaster recovery plan, and it is audited by a third party. Audit results are available to Infor CloudSuite customers upon request.

Infor offers its customers a full complement of training, consulting and planning services along with technical support. Infor Extreme support and CloudSuite support are included and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Implementation accelerators are also included for many different CloudSuite packages, along with training and education services as part of a CloudSuite subscription. To better serve its client base, Infor holds its primary client conference -- known as Inforum -- approximately once a year. Smaller user group events and conferences are held between these annual conferences, which serve clients in different geographies or industries. Clients can also participate on Infor's industry advisory council or in its Executive Cloud Council whose membership spans clients of many different company sizes and industries and helps Infor continually increase the value of its cloud offerings.

How is Infor CloudSuite licensed and sold?

Infor CloudSuite is sold by both Infor and Infor partners. Infor CloudSuite products are available under a subscription and are typically priced per user per month. In some cases, pricing is done by the number of total employees in an organization. Contract lengths vary; however, the typical contract is three years, and the minimum contract length is one year.

Infor does not presently offer a free product trial, but it will be launching Try and Buy experiences on some of its industry CloudSuites beginning in the summer of 2016.
