Maxta hyper-converged software offers users choices

Source:  Maxta

Maxta was an early hyper-convergence player that has taken a strict software-only view of the world. Maxta has been software-only from the start, opposed to competitors that are now working on ways to decouple their hardware and software offerings. Those decoupling exercises will require technical engineering, reworking of support models and a hard look at pricing, any one of which could be disruptive activities.

Maxta gives users choice of any hardware platform and between vSphere and Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) hypervisors. Choosing your own hardware enables you to size it any way you like as well. Maxta enables you to add more nodes or expand existing nodes by adding more storage or more RAM.

Maxta hyper-converged software also supports container platforms. This enables you to use just about any workload on any hardware that makes sense for that workload.
