Litmus email platform adds cloud integration, privacy protection
The Litmus update enables marketers to import email files from cloud storage services -- including Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive -- and adds privacy protection.
Litmus has updated its email platform to include design, collaboration and analytics improvements. The updates are designed to expand the value of the platform and increase ease of use for marketers.
The Litmus email platform spans the full email marketing lifecycle, from email design to testing and post-send analytics. New features include cloud storage integration, privacy protection and custom tracking.
Litmus provides email creation, testing and analytics primarily for marketing teams, designers and agencies that want to increase subscriber engagement and campaign ROI.
With cloud storage integration, users can import HTML email files from cloud storage platforms, such as Dropbox, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, saving time and reducing the possibility of human error. With steps such as Builder, Proof and Checklist, the Litmus upgrade aims to improve workflow and ensure users are working with the most current files. Cloud storage integration also enables simplified review and approval cycles, as well as faster checklist creation without switching platforms.
Litmus' latest release increases privacy protection, enabling users to disable email fields that collect personally identifiable information and replace them with unique tracking codes for every email and defined campaign time frames and expiration dates. By securely tracking and gathering insights, Litmus can better identify which email messages are making the biggest impact at the subscriber level.
This release follows Litmus' introduction of accessibility testing features earlier this month. The features include audio previews for users with vision impairments to hear how an email would be read by a screen reader. Additionally, the accessibility checks show if an email's design and code comply with accessibility best practices. It also identifies areas of improvements and provides suggestions on how to make the email content more accessible.
The Litmus email platform is rivaled by other email marketing campaign platforms, including Emma, VerticalResponse and Campaigner -- formerly MailerMailer. G2 Crowd recently named Litmus a leader for email testing software, following Sendinblue. Litmus achieved above-average scores for ease of setup and use.
