Hootsuite teams up with Yext for online review management

Yext's management platform for businesses' online reviews is now available in the Hootsuite dashboard, following an integration between the two companies.

Hootsuite users can now access all of their online reviews within their dashboard, following the new integration between Yext Inc. and Hootsuite.

Yext is an online review management platform that enables businesses to monitor and verify facts about themselves on both first- and third-party review pages, while Hootsuite is a social media management platform that enables organizations to view and manage all their social media pages in one place.

With the integration of Hootsuite and Yext, businesses can monitor, analyze and respond to customer reviews in the same dashboard where they monitor their social media pages. They will also be able to respond to reviews directly from websites, dependent on sites supporting responses from within the Yext platform.

Additionally, businesses will have access to metrics related to average ratings, number of responses, time it takes to respond and sentiment analysis based on keywords. Reviews can be filtered by location, site or time to provide greater visibility, according to Yext.

Social media has quickly taken over as one of the easiest and most popular ways to gain insight into customer sentiment, as customers are rarely shy to share their opinion in a tweet or Facebook post. However, as reported by SearchBusinessAnalytics, gathering data through social media does not provide demographic context the way traditional survey techniques did, resulting in less actionable data.

Businesses that want to use this integration must have both a Hootsuite account and a Yext account, with a subscription to the professional package or above. Hootsuite accounts start at $29 per month for small businesses, where there will be a single user and up to 10 social profiles. The team account is $129 per month for 20 profiles and three users, the business account is $599 per month for five to 10 users and 35 social profiles and the enterprise account does not have pricing listed online. Yext does not have any account pricings listed.

Earl Enterprises has been using the integration in beta, but it is now generally available.
