STEM is the star of Election Day 2012
This just might go down as the year they really put the “science” in political science. From geophysicists to data scientists, nerds ruled Election Day 2012 with dead-on outcome predictions and astoundingly (and a little startlingly) effective voter mobilizations methods. And not a lick of it had to do with punditry, gut feelings or intuition. Nope, it was all about STEM – science, technology, engineering and math; and as one blogger pointed out, “Math don’t lie.” (But grammar is still important, kids!)
