TechTarget Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) has announced the winners of the 2010 Best of VMworld® Europe User Awards, selected from more than 80 user entrants at the VMworld Europe 2010 conference held October 12 through 14, 2010 at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, and sponsored by VMware Inc.
For the past four years, TechTarget’s SearchServerVirtualization.com™ has been the official media partner for the VMworld U.S. Product Awards. Now, this year, TechTarget’s SearchVirtualDataCentre.co.UK™ has also worked with VMware to create and manage the inaugural VMworld Europe User Awards, highlighting the innovative and sophisticated virtualization user community in Europe.
An independent team of judges, consisting of experts and editors from SearchVirtualDataCentre.co.UK reviewed and evaluated the 80 user-submitted virtualization projects based on the following criteria: innovation, cost reduction, improved management capabilities, new use in the marketplace, and enhanced business processes/efficiencies.
One project winner was selected in each of five categories:
- virtualisation and server consolidation;
- virtualisation for disaster recovery;
- remote-office/home-office virtualisation;
- private cloud computing, and
- desktop virtualisation.
Judges selected a best of show from the winners of the individual categories.
