Information technology (IT) media company TechTarget, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT) today announced it has been recognized by The Boston Business Journal as one of the greater Boston area’s “Best Places to Work.” The publication’s annual ranking of 60 small, midsized, and large companies that are considered the best places to work is based on survey responses from employees of the nominated companies. Recognized as one of the Top 20 large companies, TechTarget and staff were honored at an awards breakfast this morning. This recognition marks the third time TechTarget has been named by the Boston Business Journal as one of the “Best Places to Work”.
“TechTarget’s success in the marketplace is the result of hiring a team of smart, self-motivated, enthusiastic, ambitious, hard-working people and giving them autonomy and flexibility, while holding them accountable for their results,” said Greg Strakosch, CEO of TechTarget. “We’re very pleased to receive this recognition, and consider it a validation of our efforts to provide TechTarget employees with rewarding careers and an environment that enables work/life balance.”
“This is one of our most popular events because it focuses on both employer and employees,” said Michael Olivieri, Publisher of The Boston Business Journal. “We have found that achieving the title of ‘ Best Place to Work’ is something companies are very proud to achieve because it shows they care about their most important asset – their employees.”
The “Best Places to Work” ranking is based on surveys completed by a substantial number of employees at each nominated company. The surveys ask questions related to work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, compensation and benefits. This year’s top ranking firms were chosen from 375 nominations – a record number of submissions in the six-year history of the “Best Places to Work.” Companies are grouped based on their number of employees, as large (more than 500 employees), midsize (101-500 local employees) and small (20-100 local employees).
