Meditology Named Best in KLAS for Cybersecurity Advisory Services

KLAS named Meditology Services as the best cybersecurity advisory service vendor, followed closely by tw-Security, namely for customer confidence, loyalty, value, services, and relationship.

The Best in KLAS awards were released early January 31, with Meditology Services landing the top spot for the second consecutive year for its cybersecurity advisory services with a score of 95.2. The vendor narrowly edged out tw-Security, which received a score of 95.

KLAS interviewed about 2,500 healthcare providers and payers each month from more than 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics annually, which accounts for 1,200 products from over 450 vendors. The Best in KLAS 2020 Software & Services recognizes the top US vendors for solutions, services and management consulting.

Vendors are also graded across customer experience pillars: loyalty, including would buy again, overall satisfaction, likely to recommend; operations, or engagement execution; services, such as quality of implementation staff or strategic expertise; relationship, such as executive involvement or partnership strength; and value, including money’s worth, avoids nickel-and-diming, and drives tangible outcomes.

For cybersecurity advisory, Meditology scored an A-plus in value, with A-rankings in loyalty, services, and relationship. In operations, the vendor received a B.

Vendor tw-Security received an A-plus rank in loyalty, with A-grades in operations, relationship, and value and an A-minus in services.

In third place, KLAS named Intraprise Health (BluePrint Healthcare IT). Clearwater and CynergisTek rounded out the leading vendors with equal scores of 88.9. Fortified Health Security was ranked sixth, with a score of 77.

KLAS also ranked patient privacy monitoring vendors naming Protenus’ Patient Privacy Monitoring as the leading platform with a score of 95.8. The security vendor received three A-plus grades in culture, loyalty, and value, with A-grades in operations, product, and relationship.

FairWarning’s Privacy Breach Detection landed in second place with a score of 92.2, receiving A-grades in culture, loyalty, relationship, and value. Iatric Systems’ Security Audit Manager placed third with a score of 84.2

For secure communications platforms, Telmediq landed in the top spot with a score of 91.3, followed closely by TigerConnect’s TigerText with a score of 89.1. Epic’s Secure Chat and Voalte Platform round out the top three for these platforms with a score of 88.8, with PatientSafe Solutions’ PatientTouch Communications narrowly landing in fourth place with a score of 87.8.

KLAS opted not to rank internet of medical things (IoMT) and medical device security solutions, but Order Systems Control Engine received a score of 95.4 and Zingbox IoT Guardian received a score of 94.8.

Lastly, Identity Automation’s IAM Suite received a score of 86.6 for its identity and access management solution, followed by Imprivata’s IAM Suite with a score of 85.5.

“Providers and payers demand better performance, usability, and interoperability from their vendor partners every year,” KLAS President Adam Gale, said in a statement. “Best in KLAS winners set the standard of excellence in their market segment. Earning a Best in KLAS award should both excite and humble the recipients.”

“It serves as a signal to providers that they can expect the best from the winning vendors,” he added.
