Walker Aldridge
CTO, Lairds Computer Services
I'm a graybeard who has been many IT things.
Started in the helpdesk, progressed to systems administrator, infosec blue team member and then IT manager.
Became a trainer in security, and then a training manager before the business was bought out.
From there to DBA for an energy company (no not Enron, but I worked with some folks from there), and finally to a work-from-home programmer.
Over the years I've always been a programmer with whatever I've done. As a systems admin I used batch files to automate tasks, and wrote services while in an infosec blue team to audit file changes on servers.
Outside of programming my hobbies are swords, fitness and retrocomputing.
