Kyle Hiebert is an independent researcher and political risk analyst, and contributing writer for the Centre for International Governance Innovation, located in Canada. He was previously based in Cape Town and Johannesburg as the deputy editor of the Africa Conflict Monitor, and is a consultant for the African Futures initiative at the Institute for Security Studies.
