Joe Herbst

Joe Herbst is the VP of Controls at Revolution Lighting Technologies. Joe has been the founder of four companies based in Silicon Valley, Calif. and Portland, Ore. Three of the four were successful exits, one taught him his most important business mantra: "Always be frugal with both time and money." Joe holds over 14 patents tied to high-tech developments in the PC/laptop, networking, wireless audio, digital television, and lighting/lighting controls (IoT) markets. He has managed engineering and sales teams around the globe, raised venture capital as a CEO, negotiated M&A events and managed a $200-million per year product line. His expertise is combining his technical background with a business background to minimize time to revenue and actively create products from customer/market requirements.

Joe holds a BSEE from the University of Delaware, an MSEE from Purdue University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He lives in Portland, Ore. and loves outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
