James Damoulakis
Chief Technology Officer, GlassHouse Technologies
James Damoulakis is an IT professional with more than 25 years of experience in systems, storage, backup/recovery and disaster recovery, with a strong focus on architecting and implementing highly available enterprise storage solutions.
As CTO of GlassHouse Technologies, he provides advisory services in these areas, including strategy, architecture and design, to a wide range of Fortune 2000 companies. He is also a frequent writer and speaker on a variety of topics, including data management, data protection, IT service transformation and cloud-based service delivery.
Before joining GlassHouse, Jim was director of implementation services at CNT/Articulent in Hopkinton, Mass. There, he managed a team of senior technical consultants focused on SAN design and implementation, enterprise storage management, backup/recovery and high availability.
Previously, Jim was director of technical services at Invincible Technologies Corporation (ITC), where he was responsible for technical support and professional services around ITC's highly available, network-attached storage products. Jim has also held a variety of management and technical positions with Digital Equipment Corporation, FTP Software, NEC Technologies and Apple.
Jim has spoken about storage, data protection and security issues in a number of venues, such as Storage Decisions, Technology Executives, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Seminar, and CIO and Executive IT Summits. Jim was also a contributing editor and columnist for Storage Magazine and wrote a weekly online column about storage for Computerworld.
He holds degrees from Boston University and Northwestern University, and he received his MBA from Northeastern University.
